Could you test a payload of 2x 0.25 grams of rad shield seperated by a 5 cm spacer ?
It would be interesting to see if one could get more penetration that way.
Sorta like a tandem heat charge.
I kinda do that for my 1kg EFP payload as well.....2.5mm armored nose cone over 10 cm spacer infront of the iron rod.

Who got any working nukes? Trying to shoot (armored!) nukes out of the blast launchers would be entertaining to watch. Go without armor, and the launcher'd gone in a big flash. Nukes aint hard...try octogen as the first explosive with a hefty proportion of potasium. After that you may need to fiddle a bit with with the 2 cavities. Shouldnt need much fiddling if the nuke worked before.

You're in luck; I came here to post just that. A (literal) blast from the past — a gigaton nuke! Only changed limits.txt for 1000000kg max core mass. Performance: Here is also a sane boosted design I posted in the 1.1.2 announcement. I made it pre-patch since I was aware of silicon thermite's detonation velocity probably being bugged.

Rocket WitchYour gigaton nuke didn't do damage?!? This sounds like a bug with nuclear explosion modeling. Send out the qswitched-sempai~ signal!

I'm now having new module craze and just putting them everywhere. Looks pretty cool in combat.

made a two stage multi-warhead missile, the first stage has 8-9km of DV and the second stage is an armoured missile with a fitty kiloton nuclear weapon works good, gonna work on one that throws megaton range nuclear weapons without the missile part

Interesting design. Is there a particular reason for going with lots of small tanks instead of a bigger one?

Interesting design. Is there a particular reason for going with lots of small tanks instead of a bigger one? I went with small tanks because I had them, but yes one hydrogen and one flourine tank would be better then lots of little ones, the other reason to use small tanks is so that if one is hit you don't lose all of you're propellant and are not throwen off coruse as much EDIT: the difference from 20 small tanks to one big tank was one hundred meters of Delta-V and 100 kilograms of mass

I love the new blast launcher! I had to design a spacecraft with it :3 Tested against a Solar Lance, and launched 320 of the 4096 6.5 kg missiles which broke it pretty easily (after it disabled around thirty) There aren't any really big super powerful laser stars like apophys makes on steam workshop yet, so they might put up a better fight~

Stock lasers are beyond terrible.

Almost any player designed laser ship would be superior to the Solar Lance. Stock lasers are beyond terrible. I would roughly estimate my 5 Mc tournament entry to be about 720 Solar Lances in missile-killing ability (which would be ~132 Gc). (My lasers start working at 1000 km, while the solar lance is gimped down to 50 km. I have 36 lasers in the entry. These should be the major relevant numbers due to the cap on a single laser's ablation rate (the solar lance laser has good enough intensity at 100 km already). I am assuming perfect accuracy though, which is not appropriate for very small missiles). This is of course not even considering the railguns on my entry.

I just recommend against using stock laser ships to test laser resistance as they are intentionally handicapped.
