This patch gave us the tools we need for reasonable serially staged rockets. But, as is tradition, these new mechanics come in unexpected ways I was just thinking......hey now we can make EFPs.

So, tried to make a missile launcher drone armed with blast launcher as of latest patch. It's literally a missile box strapped to a rocket. And it works.

Annnd sorry for doubleposting buttt I made thisss. It's a carrier... That launched a carrier drone... That launched more missiles drones... That launched MORE MISSILESSSS!!! So yeah, I did the first one with powered launcher, I have to do it with blast launcher too.

Since blast launcher is super efficient when it's come to small scale launcher, I decided to make the following missile. Introducing Metal Storm Missile! This one fired 1296 half gram super dense projectile at nearly 4 kmps speed. However, it's a failure because I forgot recoil is a thing, causing the ultra light weight missile to spin out of control. That, and it actually doesn't fire as fast as I would like. Maybe I could use multiple launchers to fire the payload faster before it spun out of control... But since that failed for now, I made another one! This missile was the exact opposite of the Metal Storm Missile, it fires a single nuclear frag warhead that can ruin anyone's day. During first testing, the blast launcher proceeded to cause so much recoil, it destroyed the missile. But the nuclear frag warhead managed to impact with enemy vessel and annihilated it. So test successful! I can still see these two missiles being in niche use since they have absolutely no laser defense at all. But against only kinetic weapon armed ship, they are still frighteningly effective.

1300 shots might be over doing it. I have one with a 18x18 cell that fires a 0.5 gram Osmium needle, it works just fine vs missiles as long as you keep the engine angle below 5 degrees. Pure pursuit guidance with 75%fuel reserved for terminal phase. dV 1.6 kms with 4.5g wet accel.
Your 1300 shot box might be producing too much recoil outside of the missile body....causing to much leverage for the guidance to deal with. I think a high RPM engine turn rate ( my missile/drone 180° time is only 1s though ) might also help.
The CoG for the missile/drone is just behind the launcher box.

Huh, I made my missile with more than 1 second turn rate because anymore than that and the missile will wobbling wildly at close range. Keep in mind that the engine has to deal with a successive bunch of impulses that try to corkscrew the poor missile.
A quickly responding engine gimbal is needed for that as well. Mine has ~150 rpm. 2 halved missile boxes might solve that as well, If diametrically payloads are launched at the same time. Dunno if that is the case.

Well, finally got those Metal Storm missiles to work.
Buuut it seems that firing half gram at 4 kmps doesn't do as much damage as I thought.
So I instead used a one gram version and fire those bullets from 20 different blast launchers.
The result is tiny but deep hole as long as it hit the enemy vessel.
As long as it actually hits...

Who got any working nukes? Trying to shoot (armored!) nukes out of the blast launchers would be entertaining to watch. Go without armor, and the launcher'd gone in a big flash.
