The problem is the cyclic rate of fire of rails and coils is ludicrously high for a given power input right now. Once Qswitched fixes them, I don't think they'll be more effective at low power anymore.

You used 15kg of boron nitride for the control rod. Use 15kg of U-233 dioxide instead, as per the instructions. It's much denser, so it fits. That's... Ludicrous. "Now, for our reactor's safety mechanism... MORE FISSILES! YAY!"

A warning: Needlegun impacts cause a ludicrous amount of lag. Often crashes the game even with a very low rate of fire.

Even if I didn't own the game, (which I do), do you really think attacking someone online who can't afford a 20$ game is the best thing to do? They would be in a hard enough spot as it is... Don't worry, he's just projecting.

The as-is instructions for the 1 GW Apophys (2500K, not the 2400K Mark II) do not appear to work. imgur.com/a/OhVPDExpanding the reactor core dimensions causes a loss of criticality. You need to add approx 50kg of diamond (and massively increased reactor core size) to produce a valid reactor.

Problem is your engines will emit a ton more than 1 MW heat, unless you have a ridiculously low thrust...

^ Exactly what he said. All other things being equal, the more accurately you can hit a 1m square, the closer your shots will be vs a 1000m target.

i tried this before, unlike chemical flares it only works if you pre launch it and keep it with the fleet, doesn't work if you launch it after missiles have already locked on to your main ship. Odd. Works for me. Its possible it fails if the main ship emits more heat...

Also if anyone finds a use for this thing or and improvement let me know always curious to see where these designs end up. I kind of gave up using it in a drone when I realized you can't make a radiator small enough to support it efficiently. I'm having a hard time justifying a reactor smaller than 10KW, personally.
