Ohhh and the best way to test nukes is to make a manned test ship....just detonate in the sandbox.

Yeah nukes mainly effect unshielded whipple shields....and engine bells and gimbals.
Low melting temp whipple shields tend to ,well, melt 🤣.
Other materials may crack.
Flash shielded whipple shields ( I use Si-gel 1.5 - 3 cm ) tend to stand upto reasonably sized nukes, if there is such a thing.

Yeah....and once its subject to thawing/freezing cycles it has a nasty tendency to explode.
And cold can render it so insensitive as to be nearly useless as an explosive.

Id love to be able to set a slanted angle to the firing tubes, progressing from the center. And a fire all at once setting.
The possibilities..........🙂

Hey guys no fair!
One of em still has bulk boron in his armor scheme. Thats a bit harsh. Atleast change it to amorphous carbon or something.

Just take your old ones. Replace the slow explosive with octogen, cut with about 90% potassium.
After that you may need to make minor adjustments to your hollow core sizes.
Honestly mine were barely affected. The worst effect was on the micro nuke which I had to increase about 850 grams of weight.
My megaton nukes werent affected at all.

I have been editting some of the articles to provide a second perspective on some matters.
Whomever is responsible for the am8n articles.... Boron ( bulk ) is now obsolete as a material.
