Easy Right you are. My point was only problems with a pure barter system.

Also, Liberty Exchange is probably helping as both a medium and a resource provider, like a Switzerland on steroids. Yes this.

My point about education was that people learn from past mistakes, and every single person in a space society would be well educated, so it's likely that totalitarianism wouldn't repeat. Yes I understand your point better now...

That's my point. Germany had one of the most educated populaces in the world before WW2 and that did nothing to prevent Totalitarianism. Also Project paperclip. Edit: and Project Osoaviakhim they had worse scientist, this is proven because they lost Im pretty sure they lost becuase of hitler. Betraying Russia and attacking during winter, wow, nothing could go wrong there /s In fact by the end of the war they had tons of new inventions and innovations that came to late to efdect the course of the war. Like that jet fighter they made late in the war. And it was also about mass production, take the panzer. It was far, far superior to the American sherman, and could take them out at something like a 5-1 ratio (kills to losses) but for every panzer the germans produced, the americans produced 10 shermans. So I think that pound for pound the german scientists were better. But war isnt determined solely by scientists.

Yeah, if their scientists had technology centuries ahead of its time they would have won. Yes if they somehow developed terminators they would have won. By your logic I could say if their industrialists were "good enough" they could have mass produced 1000 panzer tanks a second and won. You cant say that proof of their scientists not being good enough is that they lost, becuase that insinuates that the only important factor in winning wars is how good your scientists are. History is quite evident that that isnt true. And mind control ? How would they have accomplished that ?

Well, this is one of the most reasonable arguments I've had on the Internet in a while :-)

Well I guess that's it for trying to figure out the COADE currency system. Needless to say it is complex.

A 100% perfect conversion is pretty much impossible because of how relative values drift in unpredictable ways over time. For example, aluminum was on par with gold before we discovered a cheaper way to refine it, now not so much.
However, if you have a large volume of price data you can get a close approximation by comparing a weighted average of the price differences, and giving more weight to things that are unlikely to change significantly in relative value (such as staple foods). The resulting approximation can be good enough for government work, or for theorycrafting.

That's my point. Germany had one of the most educated populaces in the world before WW2 and that did nothing to prevent Totalitarianism. Also Project paperclip. Edit: and Project Osoaviakhim Einstein was German, which proves my point further, but even without people like him, Germany was still far ahead of just about anyone in educational attainment pre WW2. My god you are completely ignoring the sociopolitical landscape. The German populace could have been the stupidest or the smartest, it would not have mattered. The simple fact you have repeatedly over looked is the socio-economic state of Germany after WW1 the economic ransacking of Germany through the treaty of Versailles combines with the elimination of a huge amount of German military hardware and vehicles created was the catalyst for totalitarianism. When you have a populace that is poor/economically uncertain, openly been exploited by foreign interests and also militarily depleted(especially in Europe were violence was the norm for centuries and pacifist Christians were booted out of countries for even inferring a peaceful existence) it was perfect conditions for a Fascist regime. Hitler's greatest foresight(much like trump or the brexit folks or any such nationalist power). Was the weaponisation of the "Other". Think you are a well educated but poor German, You see your nation with little military strength, foreign powers have even potentially robbed your land, your economic future is uncertain. Then you have a strong man to come along and reassure your anxieties in exchange for absolute control, a fast and dirty solution to huge national issues in a country who's democracy repeatedly played to foreign powers tune and to whom democracy's existence in general is perhaps younger than yourself. Educated people are typically far more anti Fascist/Totalitarian, but that does not keep up on Earth in failing societies. This is of course without going into further counter arguments based on physical systems, socialist counter movements to Fascism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacist_uprising) Also i find your posting of Zeon imagery rather funny considering the philosophical implications of Gundam can be paper thin and down right retarded sometimes.
