if you're propellant is denser you can stick more of it in the same space

behold! my amazing armoured carrier. capable of transporting a 20 man platoon, and still has the arms and armour to face of against enemy ships Attachments:

*When you can't screen shot properly Okay, can you fix it please? I have no clue what you posted originally, because I can't read the words in the damn picture.

I believe this is the first serious attempt at an MPD missile.

I believe this is the first serious attempt at an MPD missile. It's more orbital bombardment than it is missile at that point though.

I believe this is the first serious attempt at an MPD missile. can cross my final engament zone in ~1 second, shorter then most missiles but my kinetics are twice as fast and you have no kinetic armor

I believe this is the first serious attempt at an MPD missile. Nice! If we had serial staging you could use that as the 1st stage for a standard chemical missile and get the best of both worlds (i.e. >1g acceleration in terminal phase).

I believe this is the first serious attempt at an MPD missile. Hey that's pretty neat, I like this!

I believe this is the first serious attempt at an MPD missile. Really? I'm sure someone mentioned the idea a long time ago, and I made this in February: Never actually used it though; their applications remain to be seen, certainly.

Since everything starts with logistics .. I present you the support backbone of my still unfinished new fleet after the patch - the Atlas fleet auxiliary - cargo is 5000 tons , 100 passengers, 40 crew and 200 000 tons of methane , the only interesting thing about it its that its my first use of combined MPD/Resistojet propulsion. I occaisionaly use both + NTRs but usually the resistojets are just RCS. Idea was to use high efficiency drives since it will not do any good for the fleet if it just sucks all the fuel to get to the warships. On resistojets its a bit above 24km/s delta V and acceleration is 16mg. MPD its 230km/s delta V and 131 micro G.
