I have a feeling that Amorphous Carbon is better at stopping lasers than aramid fiber ._.

Dagon-class battleship. Just your traditional pure-kinetic, heavily-armoured gunship - probably not the most practical/efficient thing, but it works well enough and personally I think it looks rather nice. All the dakka. Dagon-class Battleship.txt (19.57 KB)

Is it named after Dagon, a planet in Fomalhaut system? No - or at least not directly. I name my ships after various entities from H.P. Lovecraft's works, in this case a deity by the name of Dagon. However, the planet was likewise named after HPL's Dagon (at least according to the person who actually proposed the name - the official IAU statement instead cites the ancient Mesopotamian deity which HPL's Dagon was based on), so... kinda, but in a rather roundabout way?

However, both the planet and HPL's Dagon were named after the ancient Mesopotamian deity of the same name, so... kinda, in a rather roundabout way? Haha, I see. I know there's no way people could recognize the new planet names... I think I'll get back and mod the Copernicus system (Rho/55 Cancri)...

Maybe allow you to carry, in a cargo module, spare armour material, and then during time spent out of combat, armour is repaired at a certain rate (dependent on materials, extent of damage, excess crew and such)... also maybe make it so that only the innermost and the outermost layers can be repaired - as they are the ones that are easily accessible. Erm... Carrying armor in cargo bay... Why do not carry it on surface of your ship in a detachable form and then attach it as a patch on a damaged area?

Better yet, carry it on your rocket as actual armor.

The Onagar Class Battleship is the largest post patch warship I've made (the heavy tanker is heavier but only counts as a warship because of flying fuel drones) armed with a 1.2g 150kmps railgun as the main cannon and 12 1.1g 40kmps CIWS railguns, more then 6 inches of armour, and 128 interceptor missiles with 32 attack missiles this is an ENGINE OF DESTRUCTION!!! Steam is down and I have to go to school so the pictures will be posted tomarrow maybe sooner if I work fast

What is your warship's mass?
