can someone help me here, i wiped my fusion/nswr mods and deleted my user designs. still not working

Two three things.
1. Make sure you deleted the reactions as well as the materials.
2. Verify integrity of game files on Steam (back up limits.txt first if modified then try running with vanilla limits; this might be causing the crash).
3. Please post a log.

Make backups before changing stuff in the game! That way you always have something functional to restore to.

this is the crash data, can anyone tell me what this means Strictly speaking, no one but qswitched can give a definitive answer just from reading the log. Given the comment "Steam API failed to initialize", I think either the game is running fine and Steam is asserting that something is wrong with it*, or you're running the game directly from the exe or a shortcut to it rather than using one of Steam's own hyperlink type shortcuts. Steam needs to be what starts the game or it will constantly exit, or it will exit then Steam will immediately restart it and it will run normally for that session. * In this case, verifying game files should be sufficient. Failing that, try a complete reinstall (backup things like userdesigns.txt though; I don't know the extent of the game's cloud support). That, or there may be something wrong with your Steam install. |

Upload it here maybe for us to look? And/or delete it properly. Notice that elsewhere in the Appdata CDE folder there are backups of UserDesigns.txt, so if it's trying to restore a corrupted one, it will cause the same issue. And don't let Steam recover it from a cloud save. You can freely delete the entire contents of your CDE folder in Appdata; the game will re-generate them from scratch (might want to hold onto your records though). |
