So, I was playing around with making a small RTG for the first time, when I happened upon the fact that the cost per kilogram of the RTG fuel "Pu-244" is 4.14 Zc per kg. For those of you not versed in prefixed, that's 4.14 Zettacredits, or 4,140,000,000,000,000,000,000 credits.
Assuming one credit is roughly one USD/EUR (cost per kg of aluminum is ~$1/kg IRL, compared to ~5c/kg in-game, and this assumes that aluminum hasn't inflated or deflated in price significantly from real life to in-game), that would mean that even if you had the income equivalent of the world GDP (2015) over the age of the universe, you could only purchase about one metric ton of Pu-244, which is a sphere about a half a meter in diameter. In terms more in-line with the game, 1 Mc of Pu-244 takes up roughly a volume of 1/100 that of a grain of sand.
Using pretty much any amount of this stuff, no matter how small, would immediately void any cost limits imposed in the scenario, so why does this material even exist in the game as a usable fuel?

I now need a Pu-224 RTG providing the power for the Emperor's quarters on the Imperial Flagship.
Can we have "The tears of my vanquished enemies" added as a coolant?

Behold: A whopping 64.5 mW at the measly cost of 4.17 Yottacredits. Which is about the equivalent of 3,846,153,846,153,846 Gunships (A little under 4 Quadrillion).

What happens when you try and use it in a nuclear reactor?

Add Fluids.txt to your mods folder (C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\CDE\Mods\Data on Windows) with the following lines: Material Tears of my vanquished enemies Elements H O ElementCount 2 1 Density_kg__m3 998.2 EnthalpyOfFormation_kJ__mol -285.83 BondDissociationEnergy_kJ__mol 927.01 GibbsFreeEnergyOfFormation_kJ__mol -237.14 BulkModulus_GPa 2.151 MeltingPoint_K 273 BoilingPoint_K 373 ThermalConductivity_W__m_K .609 SpecificHeat_J__kg_K 4183.95 Viscosity_Pa_s 1.0016-3 Resistivity_Ohm_m 1.8e5 DielectricStrength_MV__m 65 RelativePermittivity 80.1 RelativePermeability .999992 RefractiveIndex Water Dissociation Products Monatomic Hydrogen Monatomic Oxygen ProductCounts 2 1
If you want it to be an especially high cost, change these lines:
Elements H O ElementCount 2 1 To this:
Elements H O Pu-244 ElementCount 2 1 1e-6

Ok, that's completely awesome! Now I can move on to the armor materials "Fused bone from the amputated limbs of those I've showed mercy" and "Wowen hair from the descendants of all who've transgressed".

... and nobody comments on the guy trying to use the stuff in a thermoelectric reactor. Unfortunately, it's not an option. I checked.
