was using a stack of smaller nukes that design was not meant to be practical slow speed is an issue with super large guns so if you want to make them practical then guided shells are your friend granting you accuracy at long range even with low velocity i have been using these shells with fixed radial thrusters out of a chemical gun going 3km/s its one of the more practical uses for giant cannons although nukes in general are prety under whelming still tweeking this design for better accuracy and im not sure if its better to just throw an unguided shell faster but the course correction is prety handy landing all rounds basicly on target still need to make a frag version for actually killing the ships - the nukes do eventually start taking chunks out of the armor after destroying most of the exposed components but frags are just better for that

Holy shit.
I don't care how impractical that was but it's pretty amazing.

I switched to using a set of fixed tail thrusters they seem to waste less DV - the radial ones dont balance very well and tend to flip around. navigation is just terminal with augmented proportional and a multiplyer of 1.0

Kinda wishing that we could make fixed thruster rocket projectile without control module to simulate dumb fired rockets.

Been refining massive slug throwers a bit. Throws a 75Kg 5m long Osmium flak bomb at 9.91Km/s. Of special note is the 310ms reload time! The game appears to only take diameter into account when calculating reload energy costs.

Too bad we cant just fire "into the wild". Because using a thing like this to launch a missile swarm would be quite good. 9.91km/s free dV for the missiles.

I only wish is to make a coilgun that can actually propel big things with iron as armature because that would be cheap.

I wish I could make a 10 kg gun with reasonable firing rate that's not breaking physics...
