The Astronomer It's done. I can't seem to get the modded materials to work and I'm sure I did everything right. Any tips on how to get it working? What are you trying to use? 2D and 3D graphene along with the Fusion NSWR mod.

Are any of the new materials added to the game better for Railguns compared to previous materials used? I would assume an outer layer of Boron would be best for additional armor/added rigidity. 1. Aluminum beryllium is very lightweight. Zirconium carbide handles thermal stress from capacitors better than any other material now TaHfC's expansion is fixed. 2. Often yes, though diamond is more rigid and will suck heat away much faster, and in some cases (very long/thin barrels I think) VC steel is better than boron. What combination is the currently best suited for the highest achievable range/velocity regardless of cost or mass?

It's stock, and works fairly well. Also, Moon Nazis are real. Hot damn. That's got slightly lower performance than my 8mm guns, but at 1/89th the power requirement. Also, moon nazis? Iron Sky reference!

Does a single laser power multiple turrets at once without a reduction in output for each turret? I think I might have made an over redundant laser ship.

May I present for your consideration: Packing twenty of these little guys: And for when you need to burn through some heavier armor: And for when you need even more firepower: And when you need to punch through several meters of osmium in less than twenty minutes and to hell with cost-effectiveness: Could you put up the laser designs?

Could you post pics/files of the ship and custom parts? I have an idea....

Does anyone know of a good configuration for the Remote Control Settings? I've tried playing around with it but my missiles just dont work as KKV's or in general anymore.

Has anyone had any luck with a gun/railgun based CIWS for those close in missile swarms?

This is a known issue, the crash occurs because a rocket design has a "ThroatRadius_m" of 0.02 or less. You can find and replace in the UserDesigns.txt file to fix it. A proper fix is incoming in the next patch. Any ETA on a Fix? Some parts as I have discovered had a "ThroatRadius_m" of 0.02 or less that were made in 1.06 but didn't cause a crash while I suspect a new NTR I added did. Attachment Deleted

This missile has been working well for me. Tends to over-penetrate a lot but reliably gets reactor hits on stock ships. Usually use it with only 3-5Km/s intercepts so it hits more reliably. The NTR design was backed off from maximum thrust to keep the missile (marginally) stable. The radiation shield between the engine and remote control keeps the missile alive longer after a laser kills the engine because missiles will do a full 180 if they're far enough off intercept. Could slot a pocket nuke under the remote control if you want more ragged impact holes. (Yup, a 57c micro nuke below the remote control is a massive lethality boost.) Could you post the User file for the KKV and NTR?

Anyone have some really awesome nuclear thermal rocket engine designs to show off? I've seen some great ones that propel the 500 meter long Super dreadnoughts around the solar system! Can anyone offer some advice with High thrust/TRW deuterium designs?
