I decided to change the texture of Earth ingame so that it looks like Earth, but I did it by overwriting the existing file. Any idea how to make it work? Right .jpg settings or anything, or where to place it?

Base game texture files are in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Children of a Dead Earth\Resources\Textures\ (or equivalent directory where you installed steam)
Mod texture files are probably meant to go in C:\Users\<username\AppData\Roaming\CDE\Mods\Textures\ (or equivalent), but I never tried modding textures.

I tried modding pluto to have the more realistic textures taken from NASAs recent day trip there. I put them with the steam files labeled under [bodynamehere].jpg, in my case pluto.jpg . Works kind of, if you have the dimensions right but even with 4k textures they always came out really blurry.
