I have a couple of questions regarding terminal phase missile guidance.
1) How does the missile determine when it should transition from midcourse to terminal phase guidance? Is it based on time to impact or something else?
2) For the ingame pure pursuit algorithm, is it the attitude pursuit or velocity pursuit version algorithm? In other words, does this algo try to point the missile's longitudinal axis at the target, or attempt to point the missile's velocity vector at the target?

So the larger your delta-v reserve, and the lower your acceleration, the earlier it enters terminal phase. This appears to frequently be miscalculated when the target is accelerating towards the missile. 2) Perhaps I just haven't noticed the discrepancy, but they certainly appear to use attitude pursuit.
