Trying out my new missile gun drone with a ballistic accurate range of 1 kilometer but in reality thanks to the missile it has 55 kilometer range.
Tested it out, it works perfectly.
I made another missile gun drone to test smaller missile based on the same gun but now it doesn't work.
The drone just refuse to ignore range or even attempt to accelerate to reach the target.
I tried my original missile gun drone and now that doesn't work either.
It would be neat too if we can set gun range to missile gun so they can work properly.

Tried again today, see if restarting the game would make it works.
No luck.
Apparently ignore range command has gone completely botched.
And broadside doesn't even work on the missile drone nearly all the time.
It's outright bugged and broken.
Oh, and in one fight, the missile cannon fired and the missile exploded and WHEN PASSED THE TARGET GUNSKIFF LIKE GHOST ROUND.
ALL OF THEM.

Figured out the problem.
The cannon refused to fire be the relative speed between the drone and the target is too large.
When the cannon can fire missile at 44 meters per second, just about any relative speed will be too large.
Optimizing the cannon by using missile with smaller diameter and more explosive charge does the job at 500 meters per second.
Honestly though, this does come in as a fault because the cannon could have worked effectively due to the missile even if it has crap initial projectile speed.
AND IT STILL DOESN'T EXPLAIN THE GHOST ROUND ISSUE.
Anyway, we honestly need to be able to design special cannon that have a range set for them and will fire regardless of well, everything.
Or, well. Make launcher that can somewhat aim.

Pretty much done that already, the only thing that solved the problem is increase the initial projectile speed to not two digits only.
