I appear to have accidentally broken my game while editing my userdesign file. I'm not sure exactly what went wrong, but whenever I try to start the game, the loading screen comes up for a few seconds and then CTDs before even getting to the main menu. I've attached both the userdesign file and my crash log. Everything I had made earlier has been removed from the userdesign file, and only the stuff I added that probably caused the crash is still there, for convenience. Sorry if it's a mess to go through these files, but I have no clue how to resolve this error and steam doesn't seem to fix it when verifying files or reinstalling.

Does the crash to desktop still occur with that userdesigns file? I'm testing it on my end and it loads up fine.

Yes, it does. I guess it must be something else then, if you can run it. But I didn't edit any other files, and the crash report seemed to point to the userdesign file. I didn't want to post the whole thing at first because it was rather long, but I'll post it here just in case.

Got the crash. Something in that file was corrupted. Resaving it with a text editor solved the issues for me. Attachment Deleted |

Problem solved! Apparently Notepad wasn't doing the trick, so I just opened it in Wordpad, saved it, and the game started. I wouldn't have thought that just saving the file again would fix it. Thanks for the swift reply and fix!

I reproduced this issue. I was able to resolve it by re-saving my UserDesigns.txt file. Note that some text editors won't actually save unless you make a change first -- that slowed me a little bit.
I've attached the corrupted version.
Edit: Well that is interesting. It turns out that re-saving the file doesn't help.
