When using tandem warheads (flak + nuke), manual detonation of nuke will cause severe internal damage to an enemy ship (depending on the size and design of the ship it may or may not be disabled and may or may not show external signs of damage) even if the missile is Mm away and facing in arbitrary direction. The camera must be focused on the missile for bug to manifest - if you pause the game, activate the warhead, switch the camera to an enemy ship, then unpause, no damage will occur.
I thought this was fixed several versions ago?
Edit:
Additional info: - I was using clustered flak ordnances in front of a single nuke for testing. I don't know if it will occur with just one of each.
- Often a single frame could be seen before flash and still from missile's perspective, of the target ship surrounded by a fireball.
- Damage and appearance seem to be strongly affected by ship's type. Most of the ships show little if any glow, but for example my "Basilisk" displays intense glow on exposed parts as if nuked. Most of my ships are instakilled (as could be expected from explosion in ship's centre - my ships have CMs there to maximize spin tolerance) without signs of external damage, on the other hand stock Gunship and Laser Skiff get (usually non-glowy) holes blown in their midsection but typically survive without crew loss. Siloship gets torn into shreds (obviously), while Corvette may or may not survive with heavy damage.

I've reproduced the issue by detonating any warhead while paused and remaining focused on the missile. The vessel that you jump to is subject to the teleporting explosion.
