imgur.com/a/PQxFyaDAs the title says. It seems to me that all propulsion modules, radiators, lasers, and gun modules are not saving. As a result, my poor designs end up as mutated corpses. I reconstructed everything and tried again to see if the problem would repeat itself...and it did. I really don't want to have to rebuild everything every time I boot up the game. Shame too because these were designs I was going to share here on the forums for feedback.

Have you tried.
1. Verifying the game cache? 2. Unsubscribing from any mods you might have?

I have another, milder and likely unrelated problem with ships not saving properly. The ships in question were 100% stock, so no missing parts, but component positioning sometimes doesn't save: - A smallish NTR ship with reactors mounted forward of CM necessitating bidirectional shielding - rear radshield kept popping back to the front of CM where I originally created it via duplication - finally solved it by copying the design around a lot.
- A large attempt at overwhelming low-velocity frontal barrages (5x 100MW 3mm coilguns, a bunch of blast launchers and several kinetic and laser turrets all on the front, some additional batteries all over the hull) - most frontal weapons keep popping a little bit back and all overlapping on reload.

Right click on the name of the game on Steam. Click properties. Under one of the tabs (I'm pretty sure it's local files) there should be a button to "validate game cache". That scans the game files to check if there's any corruption and then downloads any broken files to fix them if applicable.

I think it might be the square brackets, because all the parts that are missing are from Apophys. I'll just have to rename the modules or work with my own. Thanks for the help.

I had this problem.
It happens because you use an imported part. When you close the game and then re-open it, the game does not re-import those parts into your rocket, it just deletes them.
To get around this issue, you must copy every single imported module you are using so that they fall under the user created category. Once you do this your rocketship will save properly.

Yet another reason to copy and sign any external dependencies.

I had this issue on some custom designs. Happened when I stuck a giant turret on the tip of the ship. The turret slipped off to the side when I saved and reloaded.
