I broke this game months ago and I failed to fix it. I found materials files in %appdata imports and moved them to a new file %appdata data materials. I rebuilt the materials files in steamapps and moved the old exported ships out of export. I would like to preserve the ships already built in this game. Please assist.
I am fairly certain that my poor modding caused the error. I was hoping someone could point me to the file or directory where this error most likely originates. Furthermore I am curios if ships built using these modded materials (now moved to the correct location) will break.
EDIT: I have resolved the issue. Two of my lasers used cesium doped crystals that had been incorrectly modded into the steamapps materials. The update killed it and broke the link. the funny thing is that the gas was also broken but defaulted to argon. (was molten tin) so apparently some fields have redundancy against this type of fault but not others.
