First, to be honest i didn't dig very deep into the series but it is amazing, and i wonder if i can recreate stuff in the series in CDE, so i created this challenge. So here's the rule: 1.The projectile our rail gun using must be a 2-pound tungsten. 2.The rail gun power requirement must not excess 10 TW. (Well you can virtually ignore this limit, i think ) 3.The rail gun must not be longer than 100 meters and wider than 25 meters. 4.The mass of the rail gun must not excess 12500 tons. 5.Modded material by Rocket witch or Fgdfgfthgr is allowed. 6.Both coil gun and rail gun designs are welcomed for this challenge. And faster the projectiles, the better!ALL DESIGNS ARE WELCOMED! ENJOY! PS: And of course you can mod your limits.txt!

2 pounds is more in the coilgun range in my opinion, can we use a coilgun?

It seems that if you have 10 TW, and if you are willing to mine a small asteroid for the barrel, you can break the light speed. Some limit editing required. The small cylinder below isn't a turret, it is just the skybox. I would say, it's very hard to design a railgun with that huge ammo... Especially when it creates stronger pressure in the barrel than most of other materials.

Alright now a lot of thing have to be fixed in this challenge. 1.Both rail gun and coil gun are now allowed. 2.The length limit become compulsory and is reduced to 100 meters. 3.A width limit of 25 meters is also added based on the screenshot from the series. Well there is not velocity should aim at because the rule is THE FASTER THE BETTER!I set the 10 TW limit because i used these links as reference: expanse.wikia.com/wiki/Donnager-class_battleshipexpanse.wikia.com/wiki/Rail_Gunexpanse.wikia.com/wiki/Epstein_DriveAs the first link suggest, the iconic Donnager class battleship in the series use two rail guns as weapon and four Epstein drive as propulsion system. With four drives having 22 TW of energy output combined, if the battleship use them as a power source of the gun, each gun will have 11 TW of power, and in the series the battleship's command deck which all the high ranking office were, suffer from power shortage which the gun is loading and firing, which mean that most of the power generated on board the ship is transferred to the big gun when it is tearing its enemies, so i simply assume that almost all of the 22 TW generated by the ship is used to serve the rail gun, which imply that each gun is having 11 TW to dispose of, and finally i rounding it off to 10 TW. For the 500 meters limit, it's actually the length of the battleship and the gun seems to be less lengthy than the ship itself, and i decided to change it to 100 meters after some very rough estimations from the screenshot in the series.

It's been quite a while / I am rusty, but here is a vaguely more physical go at it. Coilgun firing very large rods. No turrets or external ammo included. Main limit mod is to increase the limit on the number of stages to 20000. At this point CDE sometimes crashes, complaining it is out of memory. So this is what it got with the rule i set after messing around in the railgun design for a while. I seldomly design rail guns since i suck at it, yet it is quite a fun after i tried it out.

One more limit added: The mass of the gun design must not excess 12500 tons (Which is about 1/20 of the mass of the Donnager battleship).
And i really have no idea about the price limit because i just don't how much should these big guns cost.
