As I said to a friend: 10/10, would comitt war crimes again.
So, I like to fancy myself pretty smart in the whole "hard sci-fi angle." CoaDE kicked me in the balls so hard that my brains exploded - but it was overall a rewarding and awesome experience and I am really excited to try some new ship designs as I come up with them! But while playing it, I can't help but feel...that...the game feels like a proof of concept.
Which, reading the dev blog, seems accurate. Simulate space combat, proove it is fun.
Does anyone else here think that this combined with a grand strategy game framework would make for something really cool? Or maybe something like Escape Velocity Nova - where you're a mercinary ship captain tooling around the system. Or maybe i'm just insane.
But for now, I'm glad to continue lurking and read your ship designs to try and figure out HOW THE FUCK I DESIGN A NUCLEAR REACTOR AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

But yes, either an EV:N or Solar System Conquest game would be awesome with this system

Yeah, a lot of the design decisions would have entirely different considerations if we had to think strategically and consider things like logistics, supply and maintenance in that kind of setting.
