The CTD happens when clicking the Back button to get out of a battle with the enemy gunship under a variety of different situations, although the crash logs are almost identical in any case (see two of them, below). The issue appears to primarily be caused by missiles, although exactly how so I'm not sure. I *think* it's due to over 100 missiles in a single fleet, especially since smaller numbers never caused problems in previous scenarios as this is the first time where 'overwhelming swarming' seems necessary to hurt the enemy (with missiles and/or drones, at least). I was able to beat the scenario, but IIRC I either used no missiles or just a few. I've turned down graphics settings to see if that would help but it doesn't. Also, I noticed in another post that locked camera might do it, but I've never had that enabled. AFAICT the issue alsoalways happens if missiles are involved AND I lose the scenario as part of the battle; it also seems to be 100% CTD if some missiles physically survive, but are out of fuel and don't get destroyed by the gunship (so they fly off as grey icons until I click Back, at which point I get the CTD). Last but not least I just played the scenario with a missile-carrying ship, but I didn't launch any until I was in battle with the enemy; even though I unloaded 50+ during the course of the battle, all of which were destroyed or hit, once we got too far away to shoot at each other (neither of us were destroyed/incapacitated) I was able to click Back/exit the battle without a CTD. So, yeah. Hope that helps, especially since I love huge missile swarms.
