I thought this might be some kind of feature; showing a futuristic in where the rings had began to decay into the atmosphere, but given that CDE is only set a few hundred years in the future and that the age estimates for the rings seem to be on the order of hundreds of thousands to millions of years [citation needed], I am inclined to believe that this is some kind of bug. On an unrelated note; I tend suffer from poor performance in gas giant systems when in the orbital view. Though I'm able to choc this up to me having a slow computer rather than an actual problem with the software.

The way the Saturn rings are currently rendered doesn't leave the central space for the planet. The ring texture doesn't leave the central space for the planet, too, so the rings appeared to 'sink' into the planet.
I actually made a fix for this bug a while back.

I also get very poor performance in the gas giant sysytems which I blame on my computer.
Does anyone have some sort of turbo "gaming PC" rig they play on? Any performance issues?
