Inspired by CBUs IRL. Ver 1 carries 40 1 kt mini nukes , ver 2 carries 8 1Mt nukes.

I've fooled around the game for a full week, and now I managed to produce my first all-custom made missile. It was a challenge, and a fun one at that:

So, the requirements I had laid out were for a 1 ton missile (what a coincidence, Endermion!) which could rip any capital in half. Conventional payload, no proximity flak. My first idea was to have a missile capable of killing by just using kinetic force, and so I did some experiments with "armor" to give it some penetration power. Despite initial failures, I eventually managed to find an armor configuration that does actually penetrate the armor of the stock Gunship and Fleet Carrier. At that point though, I realized that i wasn't enough and that I had to add a payload to maximize the damage.

The actual missile, now at its 306 version, is this:


I'm experimenting with materials that can replace the diamond, as I find it out of place, for some reason.
Despite that, I'm very proud of her.

I've moved the payload to the middle of the missile and set all activation ranges to 0, so now she (most of the times, at least) penetrates the enemy ship with the diamond head before actually exploding, propelling 1429x70g lead shrapnel towards all weak unarmored spots.



Some do explode before contact, and I have no idea why, to be honest.

But aside from that, the result is exactly what I had envisioned. A 5 missiles barrage is enough to disable all stock capitals. (In the pic I had the AI fire a full 20, though)
