If you upload a ship to the steam workshop and then make a copy and upload the copy, it will replace the original.

If the file has the same name, the workshop would presume you updated the previous design. Considering the workshop is for sharing custom assets and/or mods, I don't see a serious problem with this.

It's not the same name at all though. I posted an improved version of Enderminion's Crackjaw cruiser. Then I copied my improvement and made a different ship out of it with a different name. When I uploaded this new ship to steam, it replaced the Crackjaw improvement with. The issue probably stems from the fact that the steam workshop ID of a ship stays when you copy it, leading to multiple ships with the same ID. I imagine it will just use the most recently uploaded. |
