So it seems that payload cost is not accurately measured when calculating the cost of a ship (station in this case).
I was interested in the concept of a longer (years plus) scenario where you have "shipyards" which can "produce" ships (a scenario with a friend). So, I designed a station with a launcher that launched my 4.5kt destroyer design. The station total cost is 52.5Mc, but the destroyer (which the station has an ammo count of 1) costs 109Mc.
