This seems kind of backwards. (The test nuke is an invalid design with a 10g core, 0m hollow core and 1000µm of explosive in order for the reflector changes to be as visible as possible)

might be related to the effectiveness of the neutron reflector at reflecting neutrons, but I don't know Ah crap, I knew I forgot something from the initial post. Oh well. This doesn't seem to be a factor, Lithium and Lithium-6 give the same (very thin, thinner than Potassium) reflector with the same dimensions.
