It's not possible to delete a ship design that's loaded in the sandbox. The tooltip that pops as an explanation indicates that this is due to dependencies but doesn't list any. This is weird behaviour. If deleting a design can't clear it from the sandbox automatically, the tooltip should at least indicate that this must be done manually.
