Resistojets are rockets that heat the propellant with resistive heating element by passing electric current through it. What does "fusion resistojet" even mean? Arcjets tend to suffer from elektrode erosion IIRC. They're also in a bit of an awkward spot in regards TWR and I sp when compared to NTR's and electromagnetic drives. Electrode erosion? You mean like neutron embrittlement? No, he means like electrode erosion. You have an electrode and use it to create that hot and energetic electric arc made of plasma. Turns out this is bad for your electrode because hot and energetic electric arcs tend to be hard on stuff they touch.

I spent WAY too much time making this. A siloship or hiveship would have been more accurate.

There was also operation Plumbbob.
I don't know what is particularly dubious about it either - whether or not that cover exited the atmosphere or burned up makes no difference regarding lower bound of its initial velocity.

This could really benefit from some extra information, for example: - So it does not have n-body, what does it have?
- What can you do in sandbox mode? Anny actual gameplay or just derping around?
You really need to sell your game if you want to sell your game.

PttgActually, if CoaDE is to be trusted, you can allow yourself pretty cavalier attitude towards CQB and maneuverability is the king.

Gas core fission reactors require essentially the same enabling technology as fusion reactors so I don't really see the point in pursuing that idea. Uh, no? Gas core might be relatively crazy idea, but it was relatively well researched with relatively detailed engineering done (it would doubtlessly face hundreds more "just engineering issue"s, but still). With fusion we don't even know how to break even with the reaction other than either piling up stellar mass worth of fusile or hitting fusile with a nuclear explosion in just the right way.

Against stock designs retrograde low orbit is actually very effective because they don't handle high velocity intercepts well. And it solves missile/drone guidance problems by avoiding phasing.

Which solid has the lowest vapour pressure in, say, 1100-2630K range?

Folks, all great stuff but please dont waste any more time on my account. You know that most of us are here because of fun, right?

I have "golded" all the missions with stock modules, but between stock ships being sucky and customization being easily more than half of the fun I never really looked back to stock ships after I unlocked the editor(s). Regarding Homecoming, you can get it down to below 8km/s with stock modules if you take your time: Apparently I have completed it using just 5.23km/s once (which I honestly don't remember), but I might have abused high velocity join loophole then.

EDIT: Of note, I haven't tried using the second trawler as a drop tank or stage yet. That won't be of any help - time limit on this mission is 2Y whereas trawler needs >3Y to expend all its propellant. My guess is that this mission is meant to teach player the importance of acceleration in addition to just delta-v and of picking the right fleet for the job. Those are all custom ships with custom reactors and MPDTs.
