That is weird ... Nice try though. With the material limit , our lunar laser is even worse than stock design... If we are actually restricted to common materials, Earth would just stick to its primitive days. But there is material that is really rare on other planets when compared to earth. For example , fission fuel is really rare in the outer solar system.

There is graphite depot on earth (which contain lots of carbon) , and there is no evidence showing the same stuff exist on luna.

My LOx/LH2 attempts didnt like Titanium nozzles.
I also want compressed Air or explosive driven carrier modules. 1kw to expel one bloody 1kg iron rod from my drone/missile. And I havent even added an reactor. Trying to increase the footprint of missiles without explosives.

Fused quartz seems to work as a decent moderator for a H2O NTR. I used 4kg for a 65kg/s NTR. With about 1 kg of U235oxide.
Titanium alumide seems to just edge out Ti as a nozzle material.
Its also the best available tank hull material. . . WTB alloying elements for high strength steels!

Edit: good news is it got fixed, bad news is that I need to relearn design with capacitors. Here is a new solution, compliant with the new patch. Story + pictures first: I believe the popular wisdom is that bullets win over missiles, as long as you manage to actually deliver them. Coilguns are now much harder to come by, and energy is much more difficult to produce in Luna. But these lunar rebels have a quality of their own: quantity. Their ship and drone brethren are much the same. Go forth with the rebellion and so on. Start with a very small coilgun: the fire rate is slow, the velocity is measured in m/s rather than km/s, but it is still packs enough kinetic energy to destroy a radiator. Good thing we have water for capacitors. Then, make a small reactor for the coilgun, and a drone to go with both. Put 2000 of them on a ship, and launch at least 300 of them at the enemy. Note that your ammo is *really* slow, so you need to make sure to intercept at a low enough velocity to be able to actually fire back if you fly past them. Your guns are slow, and fire slowly, but you have a lot of them with not a lot of crew required, thanks to the magic of automation. Thanks, drones. You get to watch slow moving yellow clouds move towards enemy radiators. It's enough punch to lightly bathe the enemy in iron, but not penetrate the armor (much), destroying most modules and winning the mission. There are just too many targets for the enemy to neutralize without nukes, and this ship has no nukes. Code for all the modules below, thanks to the new export function.
