Introducing...the protagonist? Not detailed as well, but the references for her badge and shoulder patches: Both of which were provided courtesy of artists at Sufficient Velocity, Guessmyname and Nemuikougi (both of whom are registered on the artist commission registry).

Part of me thought that the squadron patch would look better with the gunship nose-up, but after doing it, I have to say I don't think so. The Sanskrit and the base of the boat make the patch a little bottom heavy/visually busy. Don't know if the angled tip of the patch makes up for it.

I think the nose up for the ship is better.
Also, did I miss something in the lore? I thought the RFP was more European. Or are we just making assumptions on the unspecified nature of President Mom and Admiral Daughter?

I think they are from south east asia, so are probably muslim.
That I don't want our space faring descendants to wear burkas is why we really ought to defeat radical islam.

The great thing about radical islam I believe is that burning books and banning everything not mentioned in the Quran likely isnt going to help develop or advance science. But yeah, RFP's insignia does have green crestent and star, and majority of them have origins in Southeast Asia. Only 200 years to the future, people and societies are still likely to be religious.

I did notice some Asian names in the roster. But the RFP felt more 'Global with European Majority". I could be wrong though. I was more focused on where we were than where we were from when reading.

In the CoaDE verse, odds are most fundamentalists and radicals of various denominations went the way of the Gaalsien during the Burning of Kharak. Certainly not the kind of people who'd be moved up to the head of the line by the people controlling the rockets, and unlikely to develop much spacelift themselves.

The Infolink says RFP is an alliance of India Indonesia, Pakistan and Philippines, plus some refugees. So maybe Hindu or Islam are the religious majority, depending on how many people India managed to send to space.

Buddhist elements may also be present. Actually makes me wonder about the religious tenacity of the faiths on such a hard voyage across the void.

I imagine there's some interesting eschatological and post-eschatological cults as well.

I like the game's star and crescent flag better than the real world ones. Now that most people know how planets work, the perspective makes better sense. Maybe we could petition some islamic countries to actually use the RFP flag for their space program, when they start a flag contest or something.
On the other hand, the USTA flag doesn't make as much sense, it's a shield in front of the sun?
