A bit of background first. It appears that the game applies phantom repulsive forces to all launched objects if they get closer together than one "max diameter". (I think this also happens in formations, and would explain the occasional wild spinning)
Method 1: Only use one launcher. The payload will phase through the carrier ship and phantom forces will go wild, but everything will survive.
Method 2: escape to the strategic view before the second set of payloads has been launched. This is a minor exploit of the game mechanics, so I try not to rely on it.
Method 3: Launch the payload fast enough that the payload is at least half a "max diameter" away by the time the radiators fully deploy. As radiators take about 1 second to deploy independent of size, the needed kick can be quite large for high power payloads. (can we get adjustable deployment speed on radiators?) For my 250MW laser drones, my most reliable launcher deploys them at 100m/s and uses 1GW of power.

I tend to use number 1 or 2, as number 3 is far, far too costly. It might be a minor exploit of the game mechanics, but it's to fix a minor game issue, so I'm ok with it.
It also in effect creates a category of drones too logistically complicated to launch in battle, which has some appeal to me.
