In my opinion at least, the way to take out million-meter lasers (if we ignore CPU limitations) is still with sheer volume of fire. When a missile only costs 70cr, I can throw a million missiles at a 71Mcr ship and still say "worth it" if they get the kill. A disposable gun platform would also likely work: get a reasonably accurate rail/coil gun with a high rate of fire, burn as close as their missile screen will allow and then hit "ignore range". The gun platform may die before the rounds arrive, but as long as the rounds do hit, it did its job.
A gun drone doesn't even necessarily have to get a kill on the first run: losing a few elements can drastically reduce the strength and effective range of a laser array, making follow-up attacks more likely to succeed.

Indeed, but if you can do a ship/drone that cost under 600kc and have the firepower of 4 solar lance you will have prove my strategy to be wrong. If laser scale up better than missile/drone spamming, then maybe on large scale laser become a effective defense, I however do not think it is the case. Stock solar lance puts out 11.1 MW per 172 Mc, and it is M = 3.15 and wavelenght = 1060 nm Old and kind of unoptimized, this outputs 44.5 MW times 30 (aka 1.335 GW) for 65.7 Mc, at M = 3 and wavelenght = 532 nm That means 600 kc get you 13.35 MW at 532 nm, a fair bit better than 4 stock lances at long range thanks to better focusing. Get violet lasers and it is even mor ridiculous Also 11 km/s of Dv 600 kc is the cost of my pocket battleship, it carry pinpoint accurate gun and 100x2.66kt nuclear missiles. I have a mothership carrying 30 of them for 27 mc (and it have +50Dv). I am doubtful that any thing that use laser as a main weapon could stop that many target. Not to mention that the two option are not equal in term of flexibility and offensive capacity. But it is something we could test, maybe I am wrong on this. I think it will be time for a new challenge!

Is it safe to assume that your 'Pocket Battleship' is a drone? I'd kind of like to see that Yes its a drone, I posted multiple variant of them on many tread. Like this one, left is maned, right is the drone: Note that both have the same armor and weapon, but one is a drone and one is a ship! The last iteration weight +-80t. A nice little beast, I will post it tonight.

I think it will be time for a new challenge! Your battleship has most guns on the front, exposing their barrels. Barrels cannot be armored decently, they burn REALLY fast. You know vesta overkil? My ship pops a whole drone wave in less than 40 frames. That's what happens to exposed barrels.

These are older version of my pocket battleship, they are not the only drone in my arsenal. If you want to see my latest toy I posted them in my guide tread.
Having guns on sides is sub optimal, unless you have all of them on the same side they won't be able to all fire at the same time. Armor wise its also un-efficient.
My most recent gun are armored with few cm of amorphous carbon and survive long enough to deliver killing blow. Unlike IA I shoot out of range. But most importantly, they will not be your primary concern when facing the Artemis. If you target my gun first, you won't be able to stop the swarm of missile coming your way. Its a chose your poison situation. Ether way I get my damage done.
