One of the first questions asked by anyone about space warfare, is what classifications a space warships would there be and what is their function in relation to each other. I believe that our community can crowd solve this question with the help of children of a dead earth.
Right now as it stands we can mix and match any type of weapon system with any size ship. But the most optimal designs will be the ones that will become the classifications of real-life space warships.
The point of this post is to congregate and finalize those classifications.
One of the most common words that I see posted from time to time is a classification of “LaserStar”. A type of warship built around a primary laser armament. I also see from time to time the term “sandblaster”. A ship built around using high-powered railgun and/or coilgun to shoot 1 gram projectiles at an opponent.
I believe LaserStar to be our real first space warship classification.
And the term sandblaster needs to be worked on. Not because it doesn’t describe accurately what the ship does, but because search results, will return you information about the profession. And not a weapon system.
What other classifications are we missing and what you guys think of the term sandblaster and LaserStar.
Also does anyone know the origins of the term LaserStar.

It's SandCaster. There are different subclasses. I hope to elaborate in a couple of days.
DeepCooker is another type entirely. Not mine, but can elaborate too, later.
then there's nanoNuker, if you believe in ChemGuns and minimal yields sanely possible.
How would large rail/nuke drone/kamikaze be called I wonder

Is a nano nuke, one that use flash nuke?

Is a nano nuke, one that use flash nuke? It's technically a ship with any gun (but in game chem gas guns seem most appealing) that can propel lots of correct-able warheads of minimally feasible yield so these warheads can catch evading target, saturate target's PDS and multi-flash the target.

What if I use a coil or rail gun instead. And as recap, we have LaserStar and SandCaster so far. What about ships that use a lot of fast firing-missiles in close and long range combat. Taking the word warship and combining it with the word kinetic (As this is based on a fast firing KKV ship I found on youtube), to come up with WarKinetic as a name for this ship.
