Explanation: You look at the above user, and think. What would CDE's gameplay/details differ from the original one if the above user is the one who made the game? Bonus point for changing the game's name. Example:A brilliant scientist: None above me ._. A cool engineer: Probably with much more scientific details. A futurist: Engineers of a Dead Earth. Lots and lots of engineering details and super-optimization in the stock game. An good analysis: Children of the Future Earth. Probably with fusion rockets and AIs and transhumans, and the Earth's not dead... And so on... Begin. None's above me. Btw, we might want an off-topic game section!

Children of a Distant Earth, the game would have nearby star systems, be set further in the future, and model warp drives to enable interstellar warfare.

Celestial Prosperity The game contains unproven near-future tech, with best-guess estimates of limits and capabilities. The game's scope in space extends to the whole arm of the Milky Way. The backstory is more reasonable, and has many references to memes. The game's name changes several times in the planning stage. The game never actually gets coded, due to a lack of programming capability. EDIT: bah, ninja'd; this was to The Astronomer . EDIT2: for goduranus Redshirts of a Solar War
More design choices are possible, like using modules as both weapon and propulsion. Sensors exist as actual modules. The game has less detailed modeling, but miraculously without major bugs. All stock ships are shaped like UFOs.

You should do one for goduranus, too. /skip

With regards to apophys Descendants of a Dead WorldMassively more min-maxing of reactors, all of which also are forced to obey the fact that you need a lot more than a few grams of U-233 to achieve fission. Also, lasers have stupendous range, missiles take orbital mechanics into account when trying to hit the target, and RCS is a thing. Amongst other things

How "ultimate" is it? A exotic propellant with super high exhaust velocity or what? Do I speak with such authority on weird hydrocarbons that I must be taken seriously in this thread? It's just C28 H56 in a ring.

Rocket Witch Matter Mages of a Dead EarthThe game will contain all existing materials, alloys and compounds, customizable alloy composition, simulated work hardening, heat treatment from hardning to normalization etc. , creep and fatigue, material defec ts and so on i.e. A Material scientists wet dream Final build will contain and simulate the full range of chemical reactions and solid state physics

newageofpowerSave a few additions and accuracy tweaks, it would pretty much be the same. Except the dialogue in the campaign is a bit more insulting when you loose, and the assistant talks down to you a lot.
