Some time back I created a thread about momentum wheels and oddly enough the Yamato. It had mainly to do with the turret traverse rate and I am pretty sure that the Yamato didn't use acutators nor momentum wheels. So don't get me wrong the update is great. But I kinda wished for a turret travers system like almost all BBs had. Now I am not a 100 percent sure that the yamato didn't use acutators. So if anybody can confirm this I would be grateful. Cant we have a system like the yamato had or would there be some grave negative sides I didn't anticipate.

According to my understanding, I'm pretty sure that at the very least the Iowa-class BBs used either electrical or hydraulic motors to turn the traverse and elevation gearing on the turret and gun assemblies. Mechanically, it's a more complicated system that would work best for fuck-all huge turrets like the ones fitted on the Iowa-class BBs when compared to the electrical actuators we currently have in-game.

if we could increase radius that would be nice too, sometimes 50m just doesn't cut it

keep forgetting about that to be honest Perhaps Limits.txt should be put in the mod folder instead. Isn't there a chance the file gets overwritten after an update?

Electrical Motors whiich could be mounted outside the turret would be very nice. Because let's face it the current system aren't efficent.

keep forgetting about that to be honest You do have to be careful with it tho, the game likes spitting out 130 lines of code at you if you decide to see how it reacts to negative values.

Perhaps Limits.txt should be put in the mod folder instead. Isn't there a chance the file gets overwritten after an update? It does get overwritten, yes. For now you have to keep a backup, as placing it in mods will crash the game. I made a suggestion for it to be supported in mods for the reason of it being overwritten and Q has liked the post, but presumably he'll only include it in the next patch.
