Who even needs railguns?

That's what, 2.5% of c?

Have you tried launching something with it (and trying to hit a target)? Did it crash the game?

Yea, broken. It appears that the back EMF is not accounted for. A superconducting launcher with no magnetic losses would consume energy equal to the projectile kinetic energy.
It also seems that the mechanical strength of the launcher rails was assumed sufficient at whatever launch speed would be present. Congrats, you broke that assumption too.
(Note: railguns have substantial magnetic losses)

(Note: railguns have substantial magnetic losses) I calculated the projectile energy to be 99 Mj (27μg projectile). That at 60000 rps should consume about 1 Gw. 10,000% efficiency ftw!

Could you use it as propulsion? (If you manage to keep the game from crashing, that is.)

Reminds me of the old borosilicate error we had back in the day. Somebody make a c-cannon that shoots nukes before it's patched! *edit* I'm mot familair with that material. Is it modded? I haven't bothered making new launchers in a while

I haven't bothered making new launchers in a while Its a modded superconductor that exists in real life and is in widespread use.
