Back to this game after a long time and find that "My Sand Missile II" is no longer working. Sand Missile uses the idea that kinetic weapon can inflect huge damage with speed. It has some special features compared to other kinetic weapons. It will denotate at the range of 10km and those 78.9g "sands" will cover the enemy ship's possible maneuver area. This also improves the survivability of the missile because there are a lot of deadly weapons to guided projectiles in 10km range. It is more devastating than any of other missiles I've designed against capital ships. Typically, 10~20 sand missiles can completely turn a Gunship into a fishnet. Unfortunately, this brilliant weapon is no longer working after the update because the shrapenals of sand bomb will ALL disappear before passing the 10km battlefield. Maybe it was a fix to improve game performance but it is definite unreal since the shrapenals are able to reach the enemy ship, no longer how far they are from the explosion.

[...] will denotate at the range of 10km What is the new minimal range for it's "denotion", then? Bisect it please. 5km? 7.5km? 6250m? 2.5km?... Now-a-days it's Boron Filament, but be sure to also try Amorphous Carbon with UHMWPE/Spider Silk anti-spallation liner, or the combo of the former two with some sturdy metal (VC Steel, Beta Titanium?) inbetween.

There is no difference in those parameters and denotion range is still 10km. But currently in simulation, the shrapnals will disappear before reaching the target 10km away... If the missile is 5km/s, then shrapnals disappear within 2 seconds. I don't know the exact current effective time.

Yeah, some flaks seem completely broken.
For example stock flak CG (not very useful to begin with, although the CG part could be easily modified to yield significantly superior replacement for stock 34mm) currently seems unable to deal any damage.
