Thanks for confirming that specific heat is indeed important when tanking a flash, not just safe use temperature.
I don't think Liquid Crystal Polymer Fiber (LCPF) has similar mechanical properties to UHMWPE Fiber. LCPF has x1.44 the density, x0.648 the price, x0.808 the yield strength, x0.0872 the Young's modulus and x7.48 the modulus of resilience of UHMWPE Fiber, so LCPF seems better at bouncing projectiles without deforming plastically.

Are there any tools to test armor reaction on hit in detail? I'm willing to experiment with some sandwiches, but catching some shots in sandbox doesn't seem to be representative. More detailed benchmark is needed, maybe with visualization.

Alas, no. Sandbox is all we have.
There were some clever armor-testing "designs" on this forum (spaced-out sandwiches target? was easier to see the effect IIRC), but I forgot where exactly.
