I made these a little while ago as experimental offensively massive conventional cannons. I'll post the .txt files if I can figure out why the game isn't letting me export these. Oh, by the way, the turret designs were just experiments and can probably be disregarded. The output (on PC) goes into /AppData/Raoming/CDE It's usually hidden by default, so you will probably need to unhide it to get to it. No, I know how to get to that. For whatever reason, the game is refusing to create export files for those guns. No problems with my other stuff. No mods either, if that matters.

For whatever reason, the game is refusing to create export files for those guns. This is because you have a slash in the gun name. You can replace that with a hyphen and it'll work. The game tries to make the name of the file the name of the gun, and a slash (along with many other special characters) cannot be in a file name, so it breaks.

That's an annoying little bug, because all of my conventional cannons are named like that. 120cm/56 gun (solid shot AP shell) ConventionalGunModule 120cm-56 Cannon Copy

My entry for the heavy category: Not being able to use graphite aerogel makes my entry nonviable. Also just for fun, here's my mass driver:

0_0 104 GJ out at 38.9 km. That's better than any other weapon I've seen that goes into the GJ.

couldn't that coilgun be smaller with a Hafnia capacitor?

Maybe, but it would certainly cost more. I've noted how BOP stores more energy per credit than hafnia.

That thing is easily the most destructive weapon I've ever seen in game.

While I am at it, can anyone explain to me why really heavy projectiles don't work worth shit? I've managed to make rail guns up up to about 50g, but no heavier. USN is reportedly experimenting with 15-18 kg slugs at 3-5km/sec. I would have thought I should be able to create something similar.
