I use the Martian Red theme because I like the contrast and its easier on my eyes. What about you?

I mostly use Inverted as gives a clear and easy to read interface. Sometimes I use my own custom ones, but the font I use doesn't support greek characters like μ.

Voted Small text inverted, but I modded it to get smaller text for my 1366x768 laptop.

I use small text inverted. Small text so I can take more complete screenshots for stats and stuff, inverted because the default is too bright, and sometimes irritates my eyes.

if you want real immersion you should probably use red, because it preserves night vision and thus is probably the default color on any space computer terminals? i mean, if red is standardized as the default program interface, most SDK will default to it and so on and so forth.......anyway

They are of limited utility, hard to reconcile with good armour schemes and let visible wavelengths lasers in.

In this case, the most efficient colour scheme is using green, as it is the wavelength where our eyes basically have the highest resolution (the fact that it's the emission peak of the Sun is probably not a coincidence). This is probably why so many military UI systems use green as the dominant colour. Also reminder that SciFi Blue is the worst possible choice, apparently. Which is why it feels so Different! in SciFi, because any competent UI designer knows to avoid it as much as they can.

My custom theme. It's pretty sky blue-heavy.

If you are going to overlay UI on real colour video, then green seems to be the way to go as it is rarely encountered in stuff you might want to image.
