Soooooo it turns out that is the ship's shadow on the editor's walls. whoops. weird that it is reversed. It's a 3D shadow caused by being sunk into the Dirac sea! Qswitched is totes secretly an Angel!

Step 1: Get Good at Drawing Step 2: Learn Japanese Step 3: Create a COADE Manga or light novel through Pixiv in Japanese Step 4: License that into a popular anime series in Japan Step 5: Have that anime dubbed into english so that it's popular in the west I wonder what route the COADE manga/anime/visual novel/light novel empire should go for. Should it be like kantai collection where all the characters are schoolgirls that are personified ships? Should it be like Planetes and have a somewhat serious tone about space war? Should it be like lucky star or girls und panzer and have a slice of life focus? I don't know, but I think going for a light novel style anime where the MC is the only male and gathers a larger and larger harem or SoL cute girl anime would get the most nippon bux. We could always have Legends of the Galactic Heroes except with more hardcore science.

I suppose I should've been checking in more often. Sorry about that. About the next update, real life has gotten in the way a lot, and I'm no longer able to work full time on Children of a Dead Earth. The next patch is partially complete, as Rocket Witch said. The major feature I'm trying to finish is Localization support, but there will be more content/features as well. Take your time, qswitched. Put your life ahead first, we have been waiting for a couple months, we can wait for a couple more.

Just be patience guys. I'm sure he's working on something at the moment, either his life, or the game.

It could likely do with some heavy optimization, but I'm just having fun derping around the thing on one of my frigates. I've gotten 9 kilos to 7.77 km/s out of a 303 ton railgun. Railguns seem flat out better than coilguns even for payload launching, try using one instead. 9 kilogram slug at 7.77 kmps with only 303 ton railgun!? Christ, I'm getting rusty and fallen out with the game but that sounds amazing. Mind if I have a look at the blueprint?

You should call it as Puppy-class drone because of how the drone is as small and as light as a puppy.

I usually just use 0.5 mm diamond backed by 3.0 mm amorphous carbon for anti-laser Whipple shield, with several dozens cm of graphite aerogel for filling and 3.0mm boron filament as final layer if there's weight to spare.
But looking on this thread here, I think I would like to try something different for fun.

Well, you just gave me a solution for my compact drone to attach external fuel tank to it without compromising it's size.
Well sure, it will get shot at earlier because of its bigger size, but eh, this looks cool.

I'm sure the crew could give it a headstart by throwing it in the general direction of the enemy vessels.

Not really.
You misread the whole thing. The fissile material actually required is 100 times of what we used in game.
Which when compared to the weight of the nuclear reactor, is practically nothing.
Small nuclear reactor would be more affected but that's what RTG is for then.
