as the title says, i know games that, when the current things that are happening start to lower the frame rates and such, instead of just dropping frames to 1FPS and becoming a slideshow, it like, slows down the game , so stuff movign at 50 m/s appear as if they are moving at 5m/s and etc, so the frame rate stays the same but it becomes less CPU intensive as its less to process in a certain amount of time.

was using a stack of smaller nukes that design was not meant to be practical slow speed is an issue with super large guns so if you want to make them practical then guided shells are your friend granting you accuracy at long range even with low velocity i have been using these shells with fixed radial thrusters out of a chemical gun going 3km/s its one of the more practical uses for giant cannons although nukes in general are prety under whelming still tweeking this design for better accuracy and im not sure if its better to just throw an unguided shell faster but the course correction is prety handy landing all rounds basicly on target still need to make a frag version for actually killing the ships - the nukes do eventually start taking chunks out of the armor after destroying most of the exposed components but frags are just better for that can you post the set up of the guided munitions remote control ?

Most things, whether it be games, mods for games, or similar, have had a discord. So i wonder, why not COADE? I think it would be a nice chat room for people to discuss stuff, realtime.

once I unlocked the editor, I never played the campaign again. I basically rushed it. you do know in the infolink, there is a button somewhere to just unlock the module and ship designer?

Been working on making a capital drone with a Mega-laser and some nuclear micro-missiles to "encourage" tough targets to die faster. (Just don't ever hit the missiles's "launch all" or even "launch 20" with a large fleet of 'em!) View AttachmentIt's all custom parts, and the laser only puts out 40MW to save weight and operate at a 1355K outlet temperature. (copper mirrors sacrifice about 5% of output power and let the laser run at 1355K) View AttachmentWoah, 1 GW reactor! that is very good reactor, i assume it is from the reactor thread?

from the capital ship armor thread, non-gimballed engines more resistant to nukes than gimballed ones.

railguns would have a crackle from the rails being heated You'd actually hear more of a thumping/twanging sound as hundreds of cables carrying high power from the capacitor bank to the rails suddenly repel themselves and jerk around. coilguns would make a *zing from the coils being compressed together and bouncing back I actually have a fairly powerful multistage coilgun, and it makes a thumping sound when you fire it. The coils try to twist in on themselves as well as recoil backwards against the projectile. Offtopic, but....why do you have a fairly powerful multistage coilgun?

when i go into combat, whenever my ship tries too fire this missile: through this cannon: the game crashes. here is crash log: https://gist.github.com/6b012a3bfa15d0dc5a5d90b0a06a2732 https://gist.github.com/229276ceaaac261a7f176c2aad626ae1

I launched 120 drones into a battle once and vowed never to do it again . I tend to use groups of 5-40 drones at a time to avoid both framerate and friendly-fire issues. It is also generally a good idea to avoid excessive clumps of drones tactically; if you have too many drones in the air at once it becomes cost-effective for your opponent to try to dodge them, and large groups are very vulnerable to nuclear missiles. Edit: speaking of miniature missiles, I keep meaning to see if it is useful as point defense. im pretty sure the worlds smallest nuke ever made IRL weighed more than that. i think. IIRC.

Quick question- how do you get a custom payload as an option to be fired from a cannon? All the times i have made a payload it does not show up in the options after i save it, only the generic HE , flak, the 2 nukes and the 2 decoys options. The word payload is used in two places. It means a module type in module designer (of type flare module, nuke module or explosive module) and a ship type (one with remote control and no engines) in ship designer. To mount your nuke on a coilgun, in ship designer make a new ship of type payload with that nuke, remote control and armor. thanks, im on mobile so i cant test it yet.
