Do we get to choose our AI preset? I could have sworn I saw that somewhere, but I can't find it for the life of me. If not, what is the AI preset that will be chosen. You get to choose from one of the defaults. As an aside, I've set my game to not update (even though i'm very hyped for the upcoming patch). qswitched Can't we get a beta branch on steam for the current update once the new one goes live? The branch "test" will remain on the current version (1.1.1.1). It's currently on that version now.

Moved to technical support. Are there any specific ships/conditions that this seems to fail in? Does it happen every time? If you can tell me what ai setting I can use to make them attempt to avoid intercepts I can get better results for you. As it is the first ew tests I have done the enemy simply does not try to avoid an intercept which makes it hard to test. The setup on Solar Ties (using the level itself or just the level preset in sandbox) is good for testing against an enemy dodging.

Any more info on the contents? Steam Workshop support will be the biggest change, plus a number of smaller changes.

I should give a heads up. The release of the upcoming patch will likely disrupt this tournament. In particular, the introduction of safety margins in the next patch has a good chance of invalidating a good many designs. Just an FYI so the participants aren't left wondering what happened.

In future patches, the info will be printed in the ImportLog without crashing.

In Fluids.txt, "Rocket Proton" refers to its element as "p" when it should be "p+".
In ChemicalReactions.txt, "Fusion Deuterium Deuterium" refers to "Monatomic Tritium", which does not exist in any of your other files, and "Fusion Deuterium Helium-3" refers to "Helium-3 (Fusion Reactant)" which also does not exist anywhere else, and "Fusion proton Boron-11" refers to nonexistent material "Boron-11 (Fusion Reactant)".

There is no line 41610 in the base game, the file ends at line 41609. Must've been from a mod.

There is no Cerium entry in the base game as far as I'm aware. Is this a mod?

The cost is expected. Nearly all Pu-244 left from the solar system formation has decayed (80 million year half life). Additionally, it is not produced in any usable quantities in any nuclear fuel cycle at all, so it can't be produced in a breeder reactor. In fact, the only reasonable way to produce large quantities of it is to repeatedly detonate nuclear weapons and collect the byproducts.

Solar Abundance is only one of many factors for determining price. Other factors include outgassing potential, volatility, roughly estimated production costs, molecular complexity, fissile fuel cycles, and radioactive half lives. That's why I chose this element as my main example, as the other factors you listed should be almost identical. You system seems to rate solar abundance far too lowly and puts too much weight on other factors. 3He should be at least as expensive as tritium, its decay parent. Solar abundance relevance to cost is asymptotic (that's why Hydrogen isn't insanely cheap compared to everything else. It's cost is entirely in other factors.). Helium-3 is abundant enough to be in the same boat, where abundance is irrelevant compared to all the other factors. Regardless, in the next patch, costs can be overridden via mods at your pleasure.

What format are your music files? Children of a Dead Earth only has full support for .ogg files, many other audio codecs were avoided due to their implementations being legal minefields.
