I just need 90,001 micromissiles to get at least one on target, or nuclear missiles that miss but still explode

Or one unguided one. If you're going fast enough, you don't need guidance in combat to hit.

A splashy warhead works better for that kind of thing

Minor observation not worth its own thread: 37 is the max number for a single layer of ships upon entering 'combat mode'. Any more than this and they start to be split evenly between multiple layers. Adding a 38th drone here will produce two layers containing 19 drones each, then once one of those reaches 38 it will be split three ways, and so on. Also I think these things look cool so here's a detail shot:

Doing some fine-tuning on my cluster frag warheads. I'm not sure if it's more efficient but at least it looks neat. This is made by 30 missiles traveling at 22 km/s, each deploying roughly 40 kg of diamond fragments, with a cost of roughly 5 kc per missile. The fragments penetrate all the way through my heavily armored target, and the missiles themselves create big holes on the backside of the ship as well. I also made some bits go missing from a gunship. I think the first 5 missiles did this. The rest just sailed through the gap, as seen in the picture.

Can your missiles kill the target if the armor is sloped more?

I think this is the worst damage I've seen on a ship that's still alive. There's a ~80m long hole in the front armor and a similar hole on the exiting side, but somehow it's still functional and in one piece. I was testing some missile designs when this happened.

For some reason when I try to take a screen shot I only get the windows I have running in the background, not the fullscreen image I wanted. Any ideas? I'm currently looking at a beautiful sunrise over the Great Red Spot.
Edited to add, That actually looks pretty horrendous man.
Edited to add further, I have noticed with my extremely high output lasers that they have stopped doing that bright pink sparking effect. They still seem to screw things up pretty well. Anyone got any ideas why?

Anyone got any ideas why? Steam doesn't play well with PrintScreen on full screen mode. Use F12 if you are on full screen to use Steam's image capture (or make the game windowed and use regular Print Screen).

I'll be damned if I can get either of those to work. Shame really. I just lined up a lovely sunrise over the Great Red Spot.

Morokweng climbs out of the Uranian cloudtops, early 2477. Crown Copyright. Holy mother what are specs for that monster! 1.36 km long. About 144 thousand tons. Roughly 914 meters across from the tips of her radiators. More carbon than steel in there by a very long shot. The Crater class Drone Tenders are the heavy hitters of the Systems commonwealth. You like?
