But the engine is still trash. You're throwing away over 1km/s on a chemical rocket.
EDIT: Change your fuel mix to 1:1

Enderminion So, your drone is 100 kilograms lighter than mine, at the cost of being more than 30 kc more expensive, having ~1.4 km/s less delta-V, using more expensive propellants, which are also explosion hazards, has a larger cross-section, and is also carrying inferior armament (your guns have significantly reduced kinetic energy to target than mine, my drone has more railguns than your drone has guns, and it also carries missiles while your drone doesn't). And I'm pretty sure that compared to everyone else, my drones are terrible. Well, I guess you have to start somewhere.

There is literally no downside to throwing my hat into the ring, also it's better then a stinger and that was the challenge

Fun fact, 20cm of Nitrite Rubber on the main turret gives 40 seconds of protection against a gunship violet laser.
Once you scrimp away those kilograms, lay the armor on thick.

Looking at your engine hurts - Flourine Hydrogen caps at about 5 km/s. [snip] I have a F/H combustion engine that caps at around 5.05 km/s, but it has an inferior thrust-to-weight as compared to yours. Anyone know how to crunch the actual numbers on theoretical limits for this? Going down to 4.90 km/s brings me to almost 2Kg0 power/weight ratio, but that's a little overzealous on anything but small missiles.

I'm sure deskjetser could make it at least 30% better... You hold me in too high praise

So, to all drone builders in this thread, I have created a thread for the purposes of attempting to replace the Hellfire drone. It's in a rather similar vein to this one.

So thinking over the challenge I think one big thing is that stinger drones are fundamentally disposeable thus I can do things like only armour the front half and use conventional guns with small ammo stores instead of a reactor, some other thoughts result in my so far unrealised schematic being more of a stinger/hellfire/shootingstar cross. Will make and post later.

I do occasionally make non 1:1 biprop engines, while theres some loss in power the sometimes dramatic drop in strain on the engine allow design changes that make up for it, also if you tilt towards the denser fuel you can fit the fuel in a smaller space.
