After the victory over the NSTA, the legendary admiral, nicknamed that Red Comet that has strategically struck right into the heart of the NSTA, has requested you to build a replacement for the venerable Stinger Drone.
She has the following request for the next generation drone. 1. The drone must weigh in around 9.5 to 10.5 tons, too many drone operators have complained about controlling latest gen of micro-drones without crashing each other and drone technicians wasted too many time on maintaining something expendable in the hundreds. It IS a replacement for the Stinger drone, after all. 2. The drone must also never costs more than 300 kc. While victory over NSTA has granted the RFP lots of resource, the corruption within RFP probably will eat up most of it and will be for decades to come. 3. All forms of weaponry including laser, conventional gun, coilgun, railgun, missiles and suicide bombs are all allowed in construction of this drone. While the Stinger drone is the general workhorse of the RFP navy drone arsenal, she has decided to put in design for several specialist version since if all the drones weighs in the same weight, logistic for different types of carrier can be made easier.
And with that done, she left you in your decision to figure out what to do next.
-----
Basically, it's a challenge I created in hope for stirring some more creativeness as the current meta always make us push more maximum efficiency without making the fun design more.
Anyway, I hope you guys have fun with this challenge.

I put 10.5 ton max because it looks nicer and neat, besides what are you going to do with that tiny 0.1 ton more?

Which drone technicians kept complaining because they need to check on every single one of the drone once in a while. While there's hundreds to thousands of them in a ship. I just want big dronessss.

HOLY COMMAND! MY NEW DRONE HAS MASS OF 5.942 TONNES!!! Tape two of them together, then puncture a hole on the propellant tanks and remove enough so that it passes inspection?

When in doubt, ducktape.

The Vanguard Drones. These drones are capable of firing a 1g shot at the velocity of 8.82 km/s with dangerously high accuracy. They also packed a flak which will explode if the drones were set to collide with the enemy ship. JTF - DRONE, VANGUARDMASS: 9.63 tons LENGTH: 16.2 meters DELTA-V: 8.19 km/s ACCELERATION: 3.18 * 9.81 m/s^2

I'll give this a shot. Featuring a state-of-the-art Tessfield 1 MW reactor and a specially designed miniature drone rail firing a simple 1g Van chrome steel projectile at 12.6 km/s out to 90 km. A flat improvement over the original in every aspect (other than length... bleh).

A flat improvement over the original in every aspect (other than length... bleh). 4 km/s delta-v? Wow, really a thing, huh? Anyways, the JTF promised to make better guns later. I took it to heart that all I needed to do was improve, however slight, on all the aspects of a "general workhorse" design. It is cheaper, faster, lighter, better armed, better armored, and has a thinner profile. But otherwise very similar dimensions to the original (since it was mentioned to stay away from micro-drones). The task never mentioned that I needed to design a much larger drone capable of extreme orbital burns or very high speed intercepts. We may simply have interpreted the task differently.

I knew that, but thanks anyways. Now I guess it's time to get back to my work.

How about a requirement to at least get coilguns and railguns to max 100% efficiency? Right now that gun up there is 15000% efficient. This challenge won't be much of one if you allow broken mechanics to be exploited. Just my 2c
