COOL! well, I guess you could call X-ray lasers "Xraysers" Those are called Xasers actually. And they wouldn't work in-game as ionizing beams (anything shorter than 100 nm) would wreck your focusing mirror. I think there's an article on Atomic Rockets that has tips on how to build proper X-ray lasers, or at least on how to make a start to them.

Focusing at long range can be done by shallow angle reflection. Atomic Rockets explains it nicely.

Spacecraft are obsolete - why fly over to your enemy to shoot them with lasers when you can make an enormous laser on your planet and blast them from the comfort of your hardened bunker? Interesting concept at least.

Interesting concept at least. Sensor resolution? I mean, even in-game with a perfectly motionless ship we get some utterly annoying laser wobble at 1000 km; now just imagine trying to precision-target something over distances a couple of orders of magnitude greater.
