Neat. That's actually a rather well put together summary of the game.
Only thing I'd disagree on is the "kinetics are better" part, but their opinion is noted in there, and they are right that lasers would be pulsed, instead of the giant "mining laser" type.

Most of this was written when the game was released, hence comments like lasers being bad, because stock lasers are bad and there wasn't a developed meta showing otherwise.

Still, pretty well together.
I was looking on it with my phone so I couldn't easily find the published date.

Keep in mind, the trope listings aren't to be taken as literal statements, as tropes are commonly used/seen narrative concepts. The Kinetics are just better page describes how kinetics are competitive or see wide use in a setting that would typically be dominated by more "advanced" weapons.

I love TV Tropes, but I was searching it for hard science fiction the other day and it could really use a clean up. A bunch of anime space operas, what the???

Patlabor is also good, though if that's hard scifi is up for debate. But it is one of the most realistic (and IMO, fun) mecha anime.

There's also Yukikaze, Wings of Honneamise, maybe the Dominion Tank Police series, and stuff like that. Honestly Anime and some Manga have produced a rough equity of works with the west regarding Hard Scifi. Gattaca, Gravity, The Martian, maybe Moon, maybe Europa Report, and a few others. The whole field is basically barren, especially if we knock off cyberpunk off the list, and anything that comes along is valuable and welcome for the most part.

Watched this one yesterday, thanks. Seeing Juno launch on Atlas V-551 touted as being crewed launch (no SAS like 'who cares 'bout them kerbals', small 5m fairing for a huge CM, etc) threw me off at first - they should have hired proper CGI artist... Also, crew's almost complete lack of discipline seemed strange, but overall it's good. From the thriller PoV it is good also. I second these, with the note that "Gravity" IMO is on weaker side, but still worth the time (albeit barely) due to graphics....namely? Can You elaborate?
