Just found out that all of my explosive flak modules are ineffective after the 1.2.0 update. I use most of these on high dV flak missiles. I test fired a 13km/s missile with a 20kg flak warhead and it failed to do any damage; pre-1.2.0, this missile was shredding any armor I tested it against. At first I thought the warhead was detonating early, but I incrementally reduced the detonation range down to 100m and still no penetration. Finally, I fired it against a test target with only 1mm of aluminum armor and it didn't even scratch it. I've tried to slow down the battle frame by frame at the time of the impact and it looks like some flak is generated and hits the target, but only a very small amount. The 20kg warhead, according to the developer screen, should produce around 11,000 pieces of 1.6g fragments. I then tested using a 15km/s 1g railgun and fired 11,000 rounds at the same target. The railgun rounds cut through the armor, no issue. My best guess is that there is a bug with the explosive modules that severely limiting the amount of flak that is generated in combat. Right now I have to use hundreds of flak missile to produce the same amount of damage as a single missile pre-1.2.0. Is anyone else seeing this?
