Capacitors for railguns and coilguns. Blast launchers.

In particular, the capacitor update game with a fix for most (all?) of the conservation of energy failures on electromagnetic guns. Blast Launchers gives dense packed, high velocity VLS systems that keep power costs low, though payload length can lead to cross-section expansion - on the flip side, radius counts for very little, so it's a different sort of optimization than for the old lengthwise magazine launchers.

You can use spacers to create a gap between internal modules where you can slot in your blast launchers. This increases your length, but keeps your hull diameter from expanding too much. If done well, this reduces your cross section when compared with simply placing your blast launchers on top of your internal modules.

That's a lot of darts! For missile launching purposes, I've found blast launchers to have a greater total weight and cost that the same amount of ammo plus an electromagnetic launcher and associated reactor and radiators. What blast launcher armor material are you using?

What blast launcher armor material are you using? Graphene. I'll admit that blast launchers are a lot less attractive with other materials. They have very low crew requirements though. In the sub-kt range, crew modules often are a very significant fraction of spaceship mass.

Silk and UHMWPE fiber are the short list for stock materials

Boron was nerfed. (Apparently there was a MPa/GPa mixup originally?) Boron fiber has some use, but your bulk boron probably wants to be diamond or amorphous carbon instead.
Distributed fire (multiple guns shooting at multiple targets will divide fire), internal mounts. Structural materials now need to be used more than a razor-thin margin from their melting point.
AI-vs-AI matches, and much better stock support for ship import-export.

Someone built a missile ship with over half a million missiles packed in. Jt was dirt cheap to boot, IIRC. Too bad none of his missiles were staged or had more than 7 km/s dV...
